![]() Jessica is one of 4 approved Trainers in North Carolina to work with wildlies. This means Jessica has extensive knowledge in training wild horses/burros, and her facility meets government standards to house them. She is an approved Trainer through the Mustang Heritage Foundation and the Bureau of Land Management. ![]() Jessica also has a passion in gentling and training wild mustangs (also known as wildlies) that are rounded up from out west. The foundation of her training techniques is based on Natural Horsemanship that is taught by world known professionals, such as Pat and Linda Parelli. Her training and teaching methods are also influenced by Lynn Baber, Paul Daily, Monty Roberts, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, and professional trainers, such as Shawn Flarida and Jesse Chase. Jessica is currently working with her personal horse, Rocket, in Level 3 of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, as well as cross-training in Reining. Jessica is a certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH International). Jessica has experience in both English and Western riding but has excels in the western discipline. Then made her way to assisting the owner/instructor, Jeannie Kapraun, in teaching riding lessons. Jessica spent so much time at JR Stables that it became her first job when she turned 15. Jessica started riding at age 6 at JR Stables, located in Metamora, Illinois. Jessica Shively has 25+ years of experience with riding, teaching, and training horses. We have a beautiful horse barn on site that is equipped with a bathroom. We have a large outdoor riding arena that can hold up to 5 people and horses at a time. Trail of Faith Farms is located off of East Pleasant Hill Road.Ĭurrently, Trail of Faith Farms offers horseback riding lessons at any level starting at age 3 and up, instructed by Jessica Shively. We hope to continue to grow to serve others. Our goal is to uplift souls and spread the word of Jesus Christ by the use of horses. We pray that God will continue to guide us in establishing our Farm. They were tortured, exiled, and martyred, and still the faith that drove them from the Alpine Valleys of Italy to the foothills of North Carolina survived. Known as “people of the book,” the Waldensians were embedded in the scriptures – they lived by it and died for it. These are but a few of the monuments and buildings that portray this incredible story. See their homes and the community oven where they baked bread. Gaze upon the mountainside to the ancient ‘seminary’ where they translated the first full Bible into French. Peer into the cave where the Waldensians worshipped in secret. Relive their experience on a tour of the Waldensian Trail of Faith, which brings their struggles to life, commemorates their sacrifices and celebrates their triumphs. It was a journey of faith as the Waldensians endured their venture from the Alpine Valleys of Italy to America.
